The 2018 Women in Media (WIM) New Year Mixer drew a full house Tuesday, Jan. 23 at NBC10/Telemundo62 studios in Bala Cynwyd, PA.

Featured speakers included: NBC10 Meteorologist Brittney Shipp (pictured above), NBC10 News Reporter Aundrea Cline-Thomas, Fox29 Entertainment Reporter Mina "SayWhat" Liona, and KYW News' Rebekah "Bex On Air" Maroun.

​NBC10 and Telemundo62 Vice President of News Anzio Williams also stopped by to greet attendees, who packed an event that was sold out well in advance.  

Women in Media (WIM) exists to support female media professionals as well as women seeking a media career. It was founded in 2013 to foster positive images of women in film, TV and other media. Visit the WIM website to learn more.

How has #METOO affected YOU?

The Philadelphia Independent Film Awards has opened a special category for youth in grades 9 through 12. The submission is absolutely FREE. The theme MUST be about the ground-breaking #METOO movement and how it has affected you or a loved one.

This can be a group or individual clip. The clip must be a MAXIMUM of 30 SECONDS including credits, so it's got to make an impact. Three clips will be nominated. SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS FEB. 28. Good luck! And please share!
